Berkeley Electronic Press Launches ExpressO: Express Online Deliveries to Law Reviews
The Berkeley Electronic Press is pleased to announce the launch of ExpressO: Express Online Deliveries to Law Reviews. ExpressO™ is a one-stop Internet site for law review submissions. Authors can now, for the first time, submit articles to multiple law reviews and law journals by uploading one electronic file to the site. This will save faculty, their assistants, and their institutions money and time. How does it work? The author:
- visits http://law.bepress.com/expresso, logs in and enters name, affiliation, and other pertinent information
- browses list of 300+ law reviews by name or subject area
- checks boxes for those law reviews to which he/she would like to submit
- uploads a cover letter, optional CV, and full text of paper in Microsoft Word and presses "deliver" button
"Printing, photocopying, and mailing expenses cost big bucks and are vestiges of the 20th century," says Robert Cooter, Herman Selvin Professor of Law, UC Berkeley, and co-founder, The Berkeley Electronic Press. "The average law professor spends many hours and hundreds of dollars preparing, printing, and mailing or Fedexing manuscripts. ExpressO changes all that. Law schools save money, professors save time and hassle, and law reviews receive submissions efficiently. It's a win all the way around."
