Aims & Scope

The journal Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public Policy wishes

  1. to further research in Peace Science,
  2. to expose the peace science community to innovative peace related research, and
  3. to disseminate peace methods and -analysis to a wider audience.

The journal accepts rigorous, non-technical papers especially in research methods in peace science, but also regular papers dealing with all aspects of the peace science field, from pure abstract theory to practical applied research.

In addition, the journal will publish working papers with innovative ideas, papers too lengthy for normal journals, reviews of scholarly works of major figures, republication of classic articles and chapters of books and abstracts of significant papers.

In order to improve scientific communication within the field of Peace Science and Peace Economics, PEPS will publish 'Letters' to provide accounts of new original research. Letters will not normally exceed 2,000 words in length, exclusive of equations, graphs, and figures. Letters can be either theoretical or applied, and will be subject to the peer-review process. In order to make a decision in a short time reviewers will be asked to give only an 'accept/reject' evaluation. Only minor revisions will be allowed.
