Submission Instructions and Policies
Any original work concerning industrial organization education may be submitted to the Journal of Industrial Organization Education. Submitted material cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: “publication” in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to the Journal of Industrial Organization Education, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of our editorial decision process. The author is also stipulating that he or she holds the copyright or has permission to use any materials submitted. If you are uploading a video clip with your manuscript, the preferred video format is MP4 (i.e., MPEG-4).
Please submit your materials online, using the "Submit Article" link to the right. After you submit your lecture (or other written material describing the rest of your submission), you will be given a chance to submit other types of material on a subsequent screen.
Prescreening
We realize that, because this journal is nonstandard, submissions rejected by our journal may be difficult to place elsewhere. To reduce your risk, you may submit just an abstract or description of your proposed lecture initially. If you do so, an editor or associate editor will give you his or her best judgment as to whether your proposal has a chance of being accepted and may offer advice as to steps to take to raise the probability of acceptance. The more detailed your description, the more likely that we can provide useful predictions. Of course, in many cases, all that we will be able to tell you is that the topic is of interest but whether the lecture is acceptable can only be determined through the refereeing process. To submit just an abstract or description for consideration, please use the "Submit Article" to the right, and when prompted, choose "Prescreening" as your submission type.
