Rating System

When an author submits to Global Jurist his or her paper is considered for publication in one of three tiers. Different tiers within this journal correspond to different levels of general interest and the seminal nature of the publications. The Topics tier accepts papers in which the primary aim is to introduce to legal professionals universally accessible analysis of foreign legal systems or other issues of comparative interest. Articles published in the Advances tier make an important and long-lasting contribution to the field, in the form of shorter pieces presenting original insights and promising directions of research. Articles published in the Frontiers tier also make an important and long-lasting contribution to the field; these longer articles represent the upper echelon of scholarly work in the subject area.
