In Search of a Definition of Property: Conceptualizing property as need-actions

A GJ Advances article.

Abstract

This paper attempts to go beyond the traditional tangible-centric definitions of property, and re-conceptualize property in ways that make it possible to include items that society intuitively considers to be property. Such intangibles include services, debt, intellectual property, etc. To do that, we attempt to not only show that "actions" could be property, but also to show that they are actually the basis of property.
